PSA

I had SO many technical difficulties with After Effects and my image files that I had to start over and do the entire thing yesterday. I tried to finish as much as possible but obviously there are still a lot of bugs (Including Alex's eyes disappearing at the end and out of order layers). I'm planning to re-upload with more body movement, possibly tweaking the audio file so their voices aren't as loud, and I like the "It'll be okay" but I think I need to figure out somewhere else to put it or work it in differently somehow though I'm not really sure yet. Any suggestions? Thanks ya'll.

  1. Nice work, I don't think too much more animation is even needed honestly, my focus is on the highlighted character so the sliding doesn't really bother me. The one thing that i definitely noticed was the long list of disorders fades quite quickly and forces the viewer to rewind. Nice voice over/acting!

    1. Yeah, I also felt the text was too long at the end for the amount of time allotted to see it. I was thinking about taking out the issues already covered by the characters. As for the animation, I'm keeping the sliding (mostly because I feel like all the tiny wiggling legs and bouncing bodies would be really distracting) but I meant things like moving the highlighted characters ears/blinking/tail wiggling etc. Thanks for your feedback :)

  3. ROBIN I LOVE THIS. The message is so important and relevant, and the imagery is great for that message. Love how much thought and meaning you put into it, and don't think I would change anything. Great job!

  4. This looks great! I agree with others, in that you don't have much work left to do! The characters are the absolute cutest! I'm glad this approach was taken, rather than this gloomy concept of a serious issue. The voices are great as well! I absolutely love this PSA...this needs to be aired somewhere at ASU, for real.

  5. The individual characters are really well done and unique. You also did a great job with the voiceover and creating unique voices for each of them.

  6. Good job, maybe the one big cat in the background when they all come together can be the same size as the others? If that was intentional for whatever reason then I understand, but it just sort of stands out among the crowd of the other figures right now.

    1. Alex is intended to be that size because I couldn't fit them all within the frame side by side. I know Alex sticks out a bit with their size but tall people like that stick out as well. Corey and Erin are actually very tiny. I tried for the vibe of an actual group of people and usually there's one or two really tall people. I might try and find a way to mute Alex though because they really do stick out a lot. Thanks for the feedback :)

  7. You did really great on your character rig! I like the direction that you executed the message. I think you spot on the bright and cheery environment for a tone that can be serious. Great work!

  8. Your animations turned out so well! I really like and can appreciate the message too. The kitties make an uncomfortable topic like counseling more warm and inviting. I honestly don't have any critiques other than just finishing it up! You should show this to the counseling center :)
